Helping a fast-growing SaaS stop rebuilding itself client by client.

Dialog combines internal communication, corporate social networking, chat, intranet and engagement tools into a single employee experience platform used by more than 800,000 users across 200+ companies.

I joined first as a UX consultant, leading customer research and platform analysis that exposed a growing fragmentation problem across product, UX and operations.

The resulting roadmap later became the foundation for Dialog's product restructuring and Version 2.0 evolution.

Context

A platform growing faster than its own structure.

Dialog had evolved into multiple parallel product variations shaped by custom client requests. New features were constantly added, but without a unified product vision or scalable UX foundation.

The result was growing operational complexity, fragmented experiences and increasing difficulty maintaining consistency across the platform.

Challenge

Stop rebuilding the product for every new customer.

The company needed to evolve from a software factory mindset into a scalable SaaS product.

The challenge was not simply redesigning the interface, but helping consolidate workflows, navigation, communication patterns and product logic without disrupting enterprise clients already operating on the platform daily.

Approach

Research first. Then product consolidation.

I started the engagement by conducting customer research, platform analysis and UX diagnostics that later became a strategic product roadmap for the company.

After presenting the roadmap, I was brought in as Head of UX to build the company's usability structure and lead the evolution toward Dialog 2.0.

The work included:

  • UX leadership and process creation
  • Product architecture restructuring
  • Workflow simplification
  • Feature consolidation
  • Scalable navigation systems
  • Alignment between product, marketing and communication
What shipped

One evolving product instead of multiple disconnected versions.

The restructuring helped transform Dialog into a more unified and scalable platform experience capable of supporting continuous growth without fragmenting the product again.

Beyond the platform itself, the work also expanded into Dialog's broader digital presence, helping redesign the company website, communication channels and brand positioning for a more mature SaaS operation.
