Lead UX Designer for Chilli Beans, Latin America's largest eyewear brand with 1,400+ points of sale across 22 countries. The project unified a fragmented digital presence spanning ecommerce, content and brand touchpoints into a cohesive digital ecosystem.
Work covered information architecture, UX design, ecommerce experience and digital consolidation strategy. Over 75% of traffic was mobile, requiring a mobile-first approach across all surfaces.
Outcome: A unified commerce and content ecosystem enabling consistent brand experience across a large international retail and ecommerce operation.
Ecommerce · Retail · Digital Consolidation
Chilli Beans had its digital presence spread across multiple disconnected websites, creating friction for customers and limiting the growth of its ecommerce operation.
Working alongside Moma, the agency behind the brand's advertising account, I led the information architecture, UX and interface design of a new unified platform that brought content, commerce and brand experience together in a single destination.
At the time, Chilli Beans was already one of the most recognized lifestyle brands in Latin America, but its online presence had evolved across multiple websites created for different purposes.
Customers were navigating between disconnected experiences, inconsistent interfaces and scattered content.
The result was a digital ecosystem that no longer reflected the strength of the brand itself.
The goal was not simply redesigning a website.
The challenge was to consolidate multiple digital properties into a single platform capable of supporting content, commerce and future expansion while maintaining a consistent brand experience.
With more than 75% of traffic already coming from mobile devices, usability and mobile-first thinking became central to the project.
I led the information architecture, UX and UI design of the new experience.
The work focused on:
The objective was to make the experience feel less like a collection of websites and more like a cohesive digital flagship for the brand.
The new platform modernized Chilli Beans' web presence and established a more professional and scalable foundation for future ecommerce initiatives.
Beyond improving usability, the project helped unify previously fragmented experiences into a single ecosystem where customers could discover products, explore collections and interact with the brand more naturally.
Years later, the platform still retains the structural foundations created during the project, with subsequent updates focused primarily on visual evolution rather than fundamental experience changes.
